Sunday Lunch Standoff

Sunday. Alex is ready to leave.

Mum: “You're staying for lunch, right?”

Alex: “I'm meeting my friends.”

Mum: “But we hardly see you!”

Alex: “I've been here since Friday!”

Apparently, two nights at home isn't enough to earn an exit pass.
